The ICSPI will be holding their 4th annual conference in Orlando, FL at the Holiday Inn on International Drive. Please check out the links on our site to get more information on this special event.

Also just announced, a workshop provided by Inherit. This workshop will cover the topic of Effective Requirements Gathering. This workshop will be very useful in helping improve the software process because we all know that quality requirements are the foundation to every quality product. Please take a moment to view the pdf flyer on the events page for more information. The date for this workshop is TBD, so be sure to come back to Tampa Bay Spin to check for updates on the time and location.

Last but not least, an event is in the works to be held at USF in the late Oct/early Nov timeframe. Again, please visit this site to keep up to date as details emerge.

Tampa Bay SPIN members and guests were able to experience a fantastic presentation from Jack Lawrence of ISD Inc. He provided attendees with valuable information on ISD's Integrated System Framework (ISF for Excellence) that can be used to overcome the issues of identifying, implementing, and appraising processes. The ISF can acheive this by integrating mulitple models, standards, and best practices into a single, more efficient framework. Download the presentation here.

Our event also welcomed a local Microsoft Project Association chapter member that notified Tampa Bay SPIN members of an upcoming meeting on September 12th. This meeting will provide free pizza, soda, and 1 PDU for attendees. Check out the local Tampa Bay MPA website here.

SEI is holding a Team Software Process (TSP) Symposium on 9/17-9/19. The event will be held at the Boardwalk Inn at Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Detailed information on the event cane be found by visiting the event website here.

PMI will be holding their 2007 Symposium at the St. Pete Times Forum in downtown Tampa, FL from 9/28-9/29. The event is billed as “Tools for Leadership: Inspiration, Innovation, Excellence!” Be sure to check out more on this event by visiting the event website here.
